DRAGON 2 COOPERATION
Dragon is a cooperation between ESA and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of the P.R. China. The 1st Dragon Programme commenced in 2004 and was completed in April 2008. The 2nd Dragon Programme lasted for four years and formally commenced at the 2008 Beijing Symposium. Dragon 2 focused on exploitation of ESA, TPM and Chinese EO data for science and applications development in land, ocean and atmospheric applications. The Programme brought together joint Sino-European teams to investigate 25 thematic projects.

Scientific results reporting was made at 5 annual Symposia held alteratively in China and Europe:

Advanced Training Courses
Four Advanced training courses were held in China from 2008 to 2011 with the objective of training young scientists in theory and retrievals for land, ocean and atmospheric remote sensing using ESA, ESA TPM and Chinese EO data.
